The connections that are formed between siblings as they grow-up together cannot be underestimated. When those siblings happen to both be musicians and perform together as well, those connections are amplified and become expressed through the music they create.

Such is the case with The Avett Brothers' group (theavettbrothers.com). The band is comprised of Seth Avett on guitar and vocals, Scott Avett on banjo and vocals, and accompanied by Bob Crawford on bass and Joe Kwon on cello. Together, the quartet harmoniously weave beautiful melodies into pieces fused with high energy Rock.

The Avett Brothers bring an acoustic set to the NPR offices for an in-house concert at the desk of "All Things Considered" host Bob Boilen. The quartet packed into the space with fans to play three songs, one of which is from their new album as well as a yet unrecorded newer song.
